KanCare Expansion Revenue Impact by Hospital - KDHE and KHA
Revenue Impact By Hospital - KDHE vs KHA.pdf
Size: 89 KB
In March 2015, KDHE and KHA provided updated numbers on the impact of KanCare expansion by hospital. This chart demonstrates the by‐hospital data.
The KDHE distribution of the dollars is based on the providers current TANF adult population and
adjusted for patients migrating between rural and urban providers settings. KHA modeled its expansion estimates on average total Medicaid volumes as reported by KDHE over a three year period, with no adjustment for patients moving
between rural and urban provider settings. This difference in methodology resulted in approximately half of the hospitals
receiving more than estimated by KHA and half receiving less.
