Today, the Senate Public Health and Welfare Committee held a confirmation hearing for Donald Hall to the University of Kansas Hospital Authority and held hearings on HB 2075, HB 2219, and took action on HB 2068 and
HB 2069.
 

House Appropriations Committee Hears Updates on Nursing and Budget Bill
Today, the House Appropriations Committee received an update on nursing in Kansas and held a hearing on SB 14.
 

Senate Ways and Means Committee Continues Budget Discussions with KDHE
Today, the Senate Ways and Means Committee continued agency budget discussions for Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services and began hearings on the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, Division of Health budget. 
 

House Health and Human Services Holds Hearings on Bills Including Provider Assessments
Today, the House Health and Human Services Committee held a hearing on HB 2250, the provider assessment bill. They also held hearings on HB 2386, SB 126, HB 2397 and HB 2399 and worked SB 88.
 

House Commerce Committee Hears Nursing Instructor Bill
Today, the House Commerce Committee held hearings on bills. Among those was HB 2392, which facilitates nursing workforce development by setting maximum education levels for instructors at nursing schools as a requirement for state approval.
