It was Friday night and I was really sick. I usually don’t wait that long to go to the doctor, but I was so sick that I had to call my daughter Candi to come and take me to the emergency room. She asked me where I wanted to go, and I told her, “take me to CRMC.”
I’m really glad I chose CRMC. I was seen really quickly. They got to work right away. Dr. Carson ordered a chest x-ray to rule out pneumonia. It didn’t take long to get the results. I did have pneumonia, so I received two bags of intravenous antibiotics. The staff continually checked on me throughout the whole process to make sure I was comfortable.
Dr. Carson was very knowledgeable and thorough. He had a very relaxed approach that put me at ease. All the nurses were great, especially John Gates. He knew how to listen and never rushed us. He was so patient and kind. He had a great sense of humor and used it appropriately in the situation.
All the conversations were genuine. I felt like they really cared.
I’ve had some bad experiences in emergency rooms. I usually feel uncomfortable, like I’m an inconvenience. It was a totally different experience at CRMC. When I got in the car to go home, I said, “That wasn’t so bad!”
After my great experience at CRMC, I won’t go anywhere else for emergency care!
