Education and Events

We strive to bring members of the Sunflower (Kansas) of Chapter of HFMA educational seminars that address current issues and are presented by renowned health care speakers. Our meetings are usually held quarterly and presented in a variety of localities around the state.

HFMA "HERe Kansas-Women. In Business. In Healthcare. In Kansas." Conference– Feb. 5

The Sunflower (Kansas) Chapter of HFMA is excited to announce the “HERe” Conference on February 5, 2016 at the Maceli's Banquet Hall & Catering in Lawrence, KS. As part of the National HFMA efforts to support women in healthcare, the Sunflower Chapter is thrilled to have the opportunity to develop a local conference that celebrates the unique needs and challenges of women.

We are also delighted to have secured author Glennon Doyle Melton as our featured keynote speaker for the event. Glennon is the author of New York Times bestseller, Carry On, Warrior: The Power of Embracing Your Messy Beautiful Life. She is also an award-winning blogger and founder and president of Together Rising, a non-profit that serves women who need help getting back on their feet. Her popularity will be an influential draw to the event while her powerful message will resonate with every attendee.

The event will also feature a morning session with Jay Pryor, Executive Life Coach and author, presenting “Lean Inside: 7 Steps to Personal Power.” “Lean Inside” focuses on practical transformation for women in business. By empowering women to identify and release limiting beliefs and conversations that hold them back from success and fulfillment, Jay leads participants to create breakthrough results that leave them in charge of their own destinies.

The afternoon session will include an opportunity to meet with Glennon as well as a panel discussion about Women in Business & Healthcare.

The conference rate is $100 per person and is due by January 15th, 2016. Reservations must be made prior to the event as we cannot guarantee seating at the door.  Register online with a credit card or download the registration form and mail with a check.  Questions regarding these events can be directed to Dee Lewis at (785) 233-7436.
