Healthcare Financial Management Association

Healthcare Financial Management Association is a national organization for health care financial management professionals comprised of members employed by hospitals, integrated delivery systems, long-term and ambulatory care facilities, managed care organizations, medical group practices, public accounting and consulting firms, insurance companies, government agencies and other health care organizations. The Kansas chapter, known as the Sunflower chapter, has committed to provide their membership with quality education programs, career and professional development resources and a forum to facilitate an exchange of ideas, information and experience. The Sunflower chapter has been recognized nationally for each of the past six years by winning the Charles F. Mehler Gold Award for education, attaining some of the highest number of education hours per member in the nation.

Education and Events

We strive to bring members of the Sunflower (Kansas) of Chapter of HFMA educational seminars that address current issues and are presented by renowned health care speakers. Our meetings are usually held quarterly and presented in a variety of localities around the state.

HFMA Quarterly Meeting and KHA/HFMA All Payers Workshop – Dec. 9-11

The Sunflower (Kansas) Chapter of Healthcare Financial Management Association, would like to invite you to attend the Dec. 9 HFMA Quarterly Meeting and/or the Dec. 10-11 All Payers Workshop. Both events will be at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Topeka. To take advantage of the discounted hotel room rate and registration fee, please register by Nov. 25, 2015. Space is limited.

At the HFMA Quarterly Meeting, Administrative Consultant Services will present calendar year 2016 updates and changes to the Two-Midnight Rule.

The 2015 All Payers Workshop will include presentations from Wisconsin Physician Services, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, KanCare Managed Care Organizations, Kansas Hospital Association, Workers' Compensation, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas, and TRICARE.
