QHi is an economical, multi-state benchmarking project designed by small rural hospitals and clinics to evaluate and compare their clinical and financial/operational performance with other similar hospitals and clinics. The Web-based tool includes a dashboard and a reporting application where hospitals and clinics create self-defined peer groups for comparison and benchmarking. The user-driven QHi program is now being used by more than 400 hospitals and rural health clinics in 11 states, including 117 Kansas hospitals. Kansas hospital participation is underwritten by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment using FLEX funds.
