Of the 105 counties in Kansas, 16 counties (Barber, Barton, Clark, Cowley, Crawford, Johnson, Marion, McPherson, Nemaha, Ness, Pottawatomie, Sedgwick, Shawnee, Washington, Wilson and Wyandotte) contain more than one community hospital, 80 counties contain only one community hospital, and nine counties are without any community hospitals. The following counties do not have a hospital: Chase, Doniphan, Elk, Gray, Linn, Osage, Wabaunsee, Wallace and Woodson. Kansas has 124 community hospitals.
