Pioneer Health Network Board Meeting - April 2

PHN is a consortium of 22 hospitals serving over 150,000 people in Western Kansas. Its central office is located on the campus of St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. The purpose of the Network is to provide a mechanism for its members to collaborate and pool resources. PHN partners with various organizations and agencies to leverage economies of scale to bring added value to its members.

Distribution of Kansas Community Hospitals

Of the 105 counties in Kansas, 17 contain more than one community hospital, 78 contain only one community hospital, and 10 are without any community hospitals. The following counties do not have a hospital: Bourbon, Chase, Doniphan, Elk, Gray, Linn, Osage, Wabaunsee, Wallace and Woodson. Kansas has 121 community hospitals.
