(Jan. 23, 2026) - Today, the Robert G. (Bob) Bethell Joint Committee on Home and Community-Based Services and KanCare Oversight met. The committee heard presentations from the Office of the KanCare Ombudsman, the Office of the Public Advocate and the Office of the Inspector General. The committee also heard updates from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services and Managed Care Organization representatives.
The committee also received a presentation on the current legal landscape in artificial intelligence and health care, as well as the status of state health artificial intelligence legislation.
