(Jan. 16, 2025) – Today, the House Appropriations and Senate Ways and Means Committee heard from Division of the Budget Director Adam Proffitt. Director Proffitt highlighted budget components, including $2.0 million to expand the Kansas Medical Student Loan program, $2.2 million for the Osteopathic Medical Service Scholarships, Medicaid expansion and additional investments in the Frail/Elderly Waiver, the Brain Injury and Technology Assistance Waiver, $20 million for Home and Community Based Services Grants, funding for a new Community-Based Services Waiver.
