(Feb. 8, 2024) – Today, Governor Laura Kelly signed the first bill of 2024 into law.
Senate Bill 15 relates to persons with disabilities; increases the maximum yearly amount of income tax credits available for purchases under the Disability Employment Act from qualified vendors and continues in existence such credits beyond tax year 2023, defines qualifying vendors and eligible employees; establishes a grant program administered by the secretary of labor to facilitate transitions from sub-minimum to at least minimum wage employment for persons with disabilities, creates the Kansas Sheltered Workshop Transition Fund.
