(March 12, 2025) – Today, the House Health and Human Services Committee, chaired by Representative Will Carpenter (R-El Dorado), held a hearing on House Bill 2223. The legislation modifies certain provisions of the optometry law relating to scope of practice, definitions and credentialing requirements.
The committee heard from proponents and opponents of the legislation for the length of the committee.
The committee will meet again on Thursday, March 13.
