Kansas Legislature (Feb. 3, 2025) – Today, the House Health and Human Services Committee, chaired by Representative Will Carpenter (R-El Dorado), held bill hearings ahead of legislative deadlines and saw bill introductions on the following topics:

Kansas Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder
Behavioral and Mental Health
Changing lead-based paints and matching federal amounts
Kansas State Board of Healing Arts to grant provisional licensure requirements
Civil monetary reinvestment funds
Establishing South Central Kansas Regional Health Hospital
Requiring reporting of abortion complications to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment
Physicians Assistants Licensure and Practice Act
Pain Parody Act
