Legislative Session Begins with Swearing-in Ceremony

Kansas Legislature (Jan. 13, 2025) – Today kicked off the 2025 Kansas legislative session. While the committees didn't meet, new and returning House and Senate members spent the day with family, moving in, putting the final touches on their new offices and being sworn in by Chief Justice Marla Luckert and Secretary of State Scott Schwab.

Legislators will look forward to informational presentations by many agencies and organizations, committee work and the Wednesday State of the State Address this week as the work of the 2025 session gets heated up.

You are encouraged to reach out and introduce yourself and your hospital and invite your legislator to attend the KHA Annual Advocacy Day luncheon on Jan. 23, located on the first floor of the Capitol.
