(Feb. 13, 2023) - Today, the Senate Public Health and Welfare Committee met, chaired by Senator Beverly Gossage (R-Eudora). The committee held a hearing on the following bills:
Senate Bill 434, exempting the practice of hair removal by sugaring from the definition of cosmetology.

The committee also worked Senate Bill 103, updating certain provisions of the Kansas dental practices act relating to dentist information requested by patients, in-person practice requirements in dental office using licensee’s name. The chair broke the tie to pass the bill out of committee.
