(March 13, 2023) – Today, the Senate Education Committee, chaired by Senator Molly Baumgardner (R-Louisburg), held a hearing on House Bill 2375. The bill establishes the temporary candidacy baccalaureate and masters social work licenses and providing requirements and fees therefor.
The committee heard from the following proponent conferees:
- Matt Lindsey, president, Kansas Independent College Association
- David Fye, executive director, Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board
- Dr. Joe Squillance, master of social work program director, Social Work Department, the University of Saint Mary
The committee will meet again tomorrow to work the bill.
