Senate Financial Institutions and Insurance Committee Continues with PBM Bill Questions
(Jan. 29, 2026) – Today, the Senate Financial Institutions and Insurance Committee, chaired by Senator Brenda Dietrich (R-Topeka), continued with its questioning of Senate Bill 360.
The committee raised the following inquiries:
- Are insurance rate changes likely to be impacted by Senate Bill 360 in states like West Virginia
- Other states laws and litigation
- Rural concerns
- If this is a tax for the benefit of private companies
- If this is price fixing
- ERISA plans reporting requirements to the Insurance Commission
The committee continues work next week.
