(March 17, 2026) – Today, the Senate is slated to take final votes on the following health-related bills:
House Bill 2533 enacts the Occupational Therapy Licensure Compact, which provides interstate practice privileges to occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants.
Senate Bill 513 directs the Kansas Department for Children and Families to develop, procure and implement software to provide direct child care subsidy payments to child care providers.
House Bill 2761 enacts the Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Act to provide for the licensure of speech-language pathology assistants.
They are also slated to debate the following health-related bills:
House Bill 2763 enacts the Athletic Licensure Trainer Compact, which provides interstate practice privileges for athletic trainers.
House Bill 2702 provides that applicants for a physician assistant license submit to a criminal record check, provides for the collaboration between physicians and physician assistants and requires the revocation of a physician assistant license under certain circumstances.
