(Feb. 14, 2023) – Today, the Senate Public Health and Welfare committee, chaired by Senator Beverly Gossage (R-Eudora), updated the calendar for a hearing not on the previously reported Senate Bill 12, but instead Senate Bill 233. The legislation creates a civil cause of action against a physician who performs childhood gender reassignment service and requires revocation of a physician's license who performs childhood gender reassignment service.
