(Jan. 29, 2026) – Today, the Senate Ways and Means Subcommittee on Human Services discussed the State Hospital budgets. Committee members suggested giving the hospitals more flexibility for staff to pick up additional shifts without resorting to higher-rate contract staffing. The committee will continue working on the budgets into next week.
