Healthworks Board Meeting - March 12

Infection Prevention Conference - Mar. 13-14

This conference helps prepare healthcare professionals to be facilitators and resources for the surveillance, prevention, and control of infections. Attendees will discover proven strategies for implementing infection prevention programs. Time will be allotted during the conference for attendees to network and discuss issues with other infection prevention professionals. All participants will receive infection prevention reference materials.

AHA Regional Policy Board Meeting - Mar. 20-21

The American Hospital Association convenes this event to bring together hospital leaders from Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. AHA staff sets a full agenda to discuss current and future hospital and health care issues.

KHA Board Meeting - Mar. 25

The Kansas Hospital Association has a 21-member board of directors. They meet at least five times a year. Each board member holds three-year terms, with a two-term limit. The board has a composition of members from all geographic areas of Kansas all sizes and types of member hospitals are represented. The board also includes two hospital trustees and two physician members. Other participants include American Hospital Association delegate.

The End of HCPCS Code G0511: What FQHCs and RHCs Can Do Next

ChartSpan2 (March 7, 2025) – Starting July 1, 2025, the HCPCS code G0511, used for general care management services by rural health clinics and federally qualified health centers, will be phased out. To prepare for this change, the Kansas Health Service Corporation and its channel partner, ChartSpan, have developed a free webinar to share strategies for protecting your care management program and continuing to serve your patients.

This webinar will teach you to decide between billing codes 99490 and 99439 for chronic care management and switching to Advanced Primary Care Management. There will also be an opportunity to share your questions about how the end of G0511 could impact revenue, how CCM and APCM differ and the new services APCM requires.
