(June 20, 2025) – The
Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health is hosting a five-part series focused on obstetric readiness for emergency medical services and emergency departments in rural communities. It aspires to identify opportunities for collaboration between EMS, hospital EDs and local support networks. The series includes recommendations tailored specifically for rural EMS and EDs, featuring innovative strategies such as telehealth and mobile care units. Register to attend any or all of the sessions. Each lasts 75 minutes via Zoom, scheduled from June 25 to Aug. 13. In the first session, experts will summarize the challenges of obstetric care in rural communities and highlight community resources available to support pregnant and postpartum patients. This series is hosted by AIM with funding administered by HRSA's Maternal and Child Health Bureau. It builds on previous HRSA-funded initiatives created by AIM, including the
AIM Obstetric Emergency Readiness Resource Kit.
