(July 12, 2024) – The American Hospital Association Institute for Diversity and Health Equity is hosting a webinar, Strategies for Success: Making the Business Case for Equity, from noon to 1:00 p.m. on July 16. The webinar will explore the importance of making the business case for equity in a resource-constrained health care environment. Leaders in the field will share how they prioritize equity to ensure every person has access to high-quality, patient-centered care, regardless of demographic factors such as housing status or racial background. The webinar features the following speakers: Joy A. Lewis, AHA's senior vice president, health equity strategies and executive director, IFDHE; Joe Wilkins, senior transformation advisor and Black Directors Health Equity Agenda board director; and Jacqueline Ortiz, vice president of health equity and cultural competence, ChristianaCare.
