(July 2, 2026) – A new Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services initiative will expand access to GLP-1 drugs for weight management under Medicare. The GLP-1 Bridge will allow eligible Medicare beneficiaries to obtain certain GLP-1 medications for $50 per month. CMS has released resources for prescribers and pharmacies to support implementation of the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge, which runs through Dec. 31, 2027.
