DEA and HHS Extend Telemedicine Flexibilities for Controlled Substances through 2025
DEA Logo (Nov. 22, 2024) – After issuing its proposed telemedicine rules in 2023, the Drug Enforcement Administration received more than 38,000 comments and held two public listening sessions. After that feedback and discussion, the DEA and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services issued a third extension of telemedicine flexibilities for prescribing controlled medications through Dec. 31, 2025.
