(June 19, 2026) – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment's Bureau of Facilities and Licensing has been fielding questions from speech therapists about supervision requirements during fluoroscopy. They asked KHA to provide clarification for our members. As a reminder, under
Kansas Administrative Regulation 28-34-12(p), "Fluoroscopy shall be conducted by or under the direct supervision of a physician." There is concern that this test is being performed without the appropriate physician supervision. Please reach out to Larry Van Der Wege at
