FDA Survey of Small Dispensers about DSCSA Capabilities

FDALogo (Sept. 18, 2026) – The Kansas Board of Pharmacy reported in its September 2026 newsletter that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has released a survey to assess small dispensers' technological capabilities for interoperable, electronic tracing of products at the package level. The Drug Supply Chain Security Act Assessment of Small Dispensers is intended for pharmacies with 25 or fewer full-time employees. The FDA will review the assessment results and, if needed, provide alternative methods of compliance. Small dispensers, as well as separate entities completing the assessment on their behalf, are asked to submit the survey by Sept. 22.
