Facility Conservation Improvement Program Webinar – June 16

Kansas Corporation Commission (May 29, 2026) – The Kansas Corporation Commission, in partnership with the Kansas Energy Program (K-State Engineering Extension), is hosting a webinar on the Facility Conservation Improvement Program from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. on June 16. The webinar will focus on energy performance contracting through FCIP for governmental facilities (such as municipalities, schools, state universities, state hospitals, correctional facilities, etc.) located in Kansas and interested in energy-efficiency upgrades.

Energy performance contracting is a method of financing, designing, and installing comprehensive energy efficiency improvements with little to no upfront capital. The costs of energy retrofits are paid for over time by future guaranteed savings from utility and maintenance budgets.

Details for the webinar are below and are also included in the attached flyer. There is no cost to attend the webinar.

Agenda (90-minute webinar):

  • 10:00 a.m.: Overview (Tim Unruh, NAESCO)
  • 10:30 a.m.: Introduction to the Kansas FCIP (KCC and KEP)
  • 10:50 a.m.: Panelists and/or case studies
  • 11:20 a.m.: Wrap-up; questions and answers
