News (Jan. 3, 2025) – Congress Enacts Short-term Spending Measure
Following a tumultuous week of Republican infighting and closed-door negotiations, Congress enacted the American Relief Act, 2025 (H.R. 10545). The measure funds the federal government through Friday, March 14, 2025, and includes several provisions of interest to hospitals.

Key items include the delay of the Medicaid Disproportionate Share Hospital cuts through Monday, March 31, 2025, and the extension of the enhanced Medicare low-volume payment adjustment, Medicare Dependent Hospital program and Medicare telehealth flexibilities and hospital at-home program through that same date.
