(June 5, 2026) – Last week, a new funding opportunity opened through the Kansas Fights Addiction grant program to advance community-based, recovery-oriented care in Kansas by increasing the number of peer recovery specialists and community health workers who provide services to individuals with a substance use disorder. Eligible organizations interested in the Peer Support and Community Health Workers funding opportunity can apply through a request for proposal process for up to $450,000, with $150,000 per year for up to three years. Organizations are encouraged to submit a confirmation of intent to apply. The deadline to submit grant applications is 5 p.m. on June 26, 2026.
