PHN is a consortium of 22 hospitals serving over 150,000 people in Western Kansas. Its central office is located on the campus of St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. The purpose of the Network is to provide a mechanism for its members to collaborate and pool resources. PHN partners with various organizations and agencies to leverage economies of scale to bring added value to its members.

Sunflower Health Network Board Meeting - April 3

The Sunflower Health Network is a not-for-profit organization that consists of 26 counties located primarily in North Central and North West Kansas. Sunflower Health Network's (SHN) specific purpose is to improve the population's health status. The 26 member hospitals, in conjunction with their medical staff, have developed a network that fosters cooperation and coordination. The priority has been to enhance the integration of health-related services among the SHN member communities.

Kansas 4M Seeking Practice Sites to Attain Age-Friendly Health Systems Recognition

(March 28, 2025) – The Kansas 4M Geriatrics Workforce Education Program offers $1,000 for up to 30 sites to participate in an Age-Friendly Action Community and achieve Level 1 and Level 2 Age-Friendly Health Systems Recognition between now and Dec. 31, 2025. The program utilizes the evidence-based 4M framework of What Matters, Medication, Mentation (Mind) and Mobility. Participating sites may include nursing homes, primary care sites and delivery systems, hospitals, ambulatory care, convenient care clinics, geriatric surgery and geriatric emergency departments serving older adults across Kansas. Eligible funded sites will be accepted on a first-come, first-registered basis. Additional sites that may not require funding are encouraged to apply and be recognized as a Kansas 4M Champion site.
