The Kansas Hospital Association is pleased to announce our updated Preceptor Academy for Summer 2026, currently available to attendees for FREE. Our Preceptor Academy team has formed a collaboration with the Midwest Clinical Instruction Regional Network to provide updated materials, content, and support for our Health Care Preceptor Academy.

KHA Leadership Institute - July 30-31

This program is designed to provide hospital employees (department heads, assistant department heads, nurse leaders, etc.) with leadership training. In addition to enrolling current managers, participation in the program will help prepare employees who may eventually be moving into management or leadership positions.

Midwest Managed Care Symposium - Aug. 3–4

Join us August 34 in Kansas City for The Midwest Managed Care Symposium, a two-day, multi-state convening of hospital finance, reimbursement and managed care leaders focused on the evolving payer landscape. Bringing together organizations from across Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas, the symposium provides timely insights on regulatory changes, price transparency, contracting strategies and reimbursement trends.

KHA Noon Briefing: Buidling Confidence in International Nurse Staffing - Aug. 4

This webinar will explore how to build and sustain a highly successful international nursing program. A panel featuring clinical leaders from KHA, Salina Regional Health Center and Interstaff will unpack the roadmap to success. They will discuss how to build confidence among all hospital stakeholders by proactively navigating financial, regulatory, and clinical considerations, turning potential logistical hurdles into a seamless onboarding experience.

Kansas Prescription Drug and Opioid Advisory Committee Conducting Public Survey

Survey (July 31, 2026) – The Kansas Prescription Drug and Opioid Advisory Committee is conducting a survey to inform the development of the next Kansas Overdose Prevention Strategic Plan. The survey aims to understand Kansans' views on substance use and drug overdoses and includes questions about awareness, community needs and resources, state priorities and policy considerations.

Survey participation is voluntary. Kansas residents ages 18 and older are eligible to participate. This survey should take about 10-15 minutes to complete. Responses are anonymous. Please complete the survey by Aug. 7, 2026.
