President's Perspective – Nominations Open for KHA Committees through Oct. 23
(Oct. 9, 2026) – The Kansas Hospital Association needs your insight and expertise to guide its work, including shaping our strategic priorities, advocacy positions and essential resources for members. A nomination link is being emailed to member CEOs. Nominations must be approved by the CEO or administrator, and only one individual from each facility may serve on each committee.
If you serve on a KHA committee or would like to serve on one, we encourage you to let your CEO know. Nominations are due Friday, Oct. 23, 2026.
This year, we need nominations for the following committees:
- Behavioral Health
- Communications
- Convention and Education
- Data
- Health Care Finance and Reimbursement
- Health Information Technology
- Hospital EMS Committee
- Hospital Leadership and Governance
- Hospital Physician Leadership
- KHA-PAC Steering
- Optimal Health
- Policy and Advocacy
- Quality and Safety
- Workforce
Committee appointments will be made by 2027 KHA Board Chair Val Gleason. Selected committee members will be notified directly in December. Terms will begin Jan. 1, 2027, and end Dec. 31, 2027. While we may not be able to accommodate every nominee, we will do our best.
Member involvement is the strongest predictor of success, and your organization's participation in KHA policy groups makes a difference.
