(Sept. 27, 2024) – I always look forward to the fall round of District Meetings each year. It is an opportunity for us to meet face-to-face and discuss important and timely issues, but even more important is the opportunity to plan for the future. Starting next week, during our Fall District Meetings, we will gather your input on the direction you want the Kansas Hospital Association to take for the next three years. I look forward to your input as we finalize our strategic direction.

CEOs and administrators have traditionally attended the District Meetings, but it has been good over the past few years to see more hospital board members, CFOs, HR executives and senior staff members attend these meetings. I encourage any of our hospital members who are interested in these topics to please join us:

• Workforce Retention and Recruitment
• KHA 2025-2027 Strategic Planning
• How Hospitals Are Using AI

• Regional and State Resources and Strategies

In addition to District Meetings, we can engage and impact the association's work through our KHA boards and committees. The service our members provide on KHA committees is the essential work of the association. Thank you if you can serve on one of our 26 KHA policy groups (boards and committees). The call for volunteers for the 2025 committee will be sent to CEOs and administrators next week. If you would like to serve or continue to serve on a KHA committee, please let your CEO or administrator know.
