Register for MBQIP Training – Nov. 8

Healthworks for newsletters (Oct. 11, 2024) – Hospitals needing a refresher on the Medicare Beneficiary Quality Improvement Project requirements and/or data abstraction basics are encouraged to attend the MBQIP Basics Virtual Training from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Friday, Nov. 8. Topics covered will include:

  • MBQIP quality data collection
  • The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Abstraction and Reporting Tool data collection
  • Resources available in QualityNet to make reporting more efficient
  • Developing and implementing an action plan for data reporting
  • Emergency department transfer communication data collection
  • Reporting EDTC Data to QHi.

MBQIP is a quality improvement activity under the Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility program of the Health Resources and Services Administration's Federal Office of Rural Health Policy. Its goal is to improve the quality of care provided in Critical Access Hospitals. Complete data submission is a requirement to receive the total Small Hospital Improvement Program grant funds.
