Hospital Board Leaders’ Program, Session 1 - Oct. 29

The Kansas Hospital Association and governWell are pleased to bring KHA members a program specifically designed for new board chairs, chair-elects or vice chairs. Learn about the board chair’s leadership role; how to build purposeful agendas; facilitation and executive session; the open meetings act; quality oversight; the board chair/CEO relationship; board conduct; board orientation, learning and development; and board self-assessment.

KHA Board Meeting - Nov. 3

KHA has a 21-member board of directors. They meet at least five times a year. Each board member holds three-year terms, with a two-term limit. The board has a composition of members from all geographic areas of Kansas all sizes and types of member hospitals are represented. The board also includes two hospital trustees and two physician members. Other participants include the American Hospital Association delegate.

KHSC Board Meeting - Nov. 4

KHSC is a wholly owned subsidiary of KHA. Therefore, a secondary objective of KHSC is to support KHA in meeting its mission of serving hospitals. Its mission is to provide enhanced value to KHA members by evaluating and endorsing selected vendors of services needed by the KHA membership. KHSC will be a valuable resource to Kansas healthcare facilities and the Kansas Hospital Association as they serve their constituents.

Turning Documentation into Improvement – Nov. 12

Healthworks for newsletters (Oct. 30, 2026) – This regional workshop will help health care professionals strengthen documentation practices that support safe patient care, effective team communication and legal accountability. Participants will also learn practical quality improvement methods, including how to identify challenges, develop action plans and use Plan-Do-Study-Act cycles to drive meaningful change. Through hands-on learning and discussion, attendees will gain tools to use documentation and quality data to improve outcomes in their daily practice.
