(Oct. 18, 2024) – It is essential hospitals implement additional price transparency standards by Jan. 1, 2025. We encourage hospitals to register for a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services price transparency webinar at noon on Oct. 21. In addition, KHA will host a price transparency webinar at 1:00 p.m. on Dec. 10 to review the new requirements.
As of July 1, 2024, hospital machine-readable files must conform to a CMS template layout and data specifications. Starting Jan. 1, 2025, you must also encode additional data elements.
