KHSC Board Meeting - Jan. 29

KHSC is a wholly owned subsidiary of KHA. Therefore, a secondary objective of KHSC is to support KHA in meeting its mission of serving hospitals. Its mission is to provide enhanced value to KHA members by evaluating and endorsing selected vendors of services needed by the KHA membership. KHSC will be a valuable resource to Kansas healthcare facilities and the Kansas Hospital Association as they serve their constituents.

The Health Care Preceptor Academy is designed to engage and grow current and future preceptors with key education tools and strategies to foster a strong preceptororientee relationship. This interactive program provides information and practical tools to improve preceptor abilities. As a preceptor, you can make a difference in how a new employee adjusts to your hospital.

Quality Corner Calls are offered by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and Healthworks and focus on quality improvement activities consistent with the Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Grant Program.

World Cup Health Care Readiness Webinar Q and A

FIFA KC (Jan. 30, 2025) – The Kansas Hospital Association and the Missouri Hospital Association hosted a webinar on Dec. 17, 2025, focused on the FIFA World Cup 26™. Hundreds of hospital leaders from both states tuned in to learn how the event will impact the Kansas City region and beyond..

During this webinar, Pam Kramer, CEO of KC2026 and Host City Health and Medical co-leads Bryan Beaver, MD, and Erica Carney, MD, discussed health care planning for the Kansas City World Cup. KC2026 has partnered with The University of Kansas Health System to serve as the Official Medical Services Provider.

This webinar was recorded, and a new resource featuring questions and answers from the webinar is now available.
