New Funding Available through Kansas Fights Addiction

Kansas Fights Addiction grant program is offering two funding opportunities. One expands medications for opioid use disorder, and another provides rapid-response funding for urgent needs and time-sensitive opportunities benefiting substance use disorder systems.

Kratom Ban to Take Effect July 1

HB 2635 and SB 430 passed this session and was signed by Gov. Kelly last month, making Kratom and 7-OH a Schedule I (C-I) controlled substance. Schedule I designates substances with a high potential for abuse and no currently accepted medical use, banning them in Kansas effective July 1.
