Kansas Health Care Preceptor Academy

  • Train your team to make the mentoring process the best possible experience. The KHA Health Care Preceptor Academy is a one-day, interactive program that provides information and practical tools to improve preceptor abilities in the orienting/onboarding of new staff or students to the profession. The KHA Health Care Preceptor Academy program better prepares and equips clinicians to serve as preceptors/mentors.
  • Four regional preceptor trainings are hosted throughout Kansas each year. Annual dates will be listed on the KHA website as they become available.

Serve as a Clinical Training Site

  • Review clinical sites your organizations is currently serving or could host for various post-secondary health care programs.

    WorkWell KS is a statewide worksite initiative that provides leadership and resources for businesses and organizations to support worksite health.
    Access information about state and federal administered scholarships and loan repayment opportunities for those already in the workforce or seeking to pursue a health care career.

    The Kansas Nursing Initiative was developed to address the growing nursing shortage in the state by providing needed resources to nursing education programs to enable them to increase their capacity to instruct additional nursing students.

    Workforce Toolkit to Support Rural Hospitals

    Workforce Toolkit to Support Critical Access Hospitals and Rural Providers | Flex Monitoring Team -

    • The Flex Monitoring Team has created a toolkit that provides background on health care workforce challenges, describes common workforce challenges faced by Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs), and provides examples and links to external resources that hospitals may use to address their own workforce needs and enhance recruitment and retention.
