Sunflower Health Network Board Meeting - Mar. 6

The Sunflower Health Network is a not-for-profit organization that consists of 26 counties located primarily in North Central and North West Kansas. Sunflower Health Network's (SHN) specific purpose is to improve the population's health status. The 26 member hospitals, in conjunction with their medical staff, have developed a network that fosters cooperation and coordination. The priority has been to enhance the integration of health-related services among the SHN member communities.

As we move into a new phase of health care delivery, KHA members remain fully committed to protecting the health and safety of their patients and employees, while continuing to educate the public on measures to stop the spread of COVID-19. Please use any of the resources on this page as you resume care in Kansas.

In addition to the PSAs above, the American Hospital Association has a Stay Healthy: Don't Delay Care campaign and an AHA Updates and Resources on Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19/SARS– CoV-2 campaign reminding the public as hospitals are fighting COVID-19, hospitals are still here to care for the sick in every way, every day. As many Americans have delayed care during this public health crisis, the PSA and television ad emphasize to the public hospitals and health systems are ready and able to serve their communities, just as they always have done and will continue to do.

Vaccine Hesitancy

The Ad Council unveiled the results of market research into effective messages for vaccine-hesitant members of the American public. KHA encourages our members to incorporate key messaging into local efforts to educate the public about the importance of choosing to get vaccinated against COVID-19. Key to this effort is understanding how to best reach vaccine-hesitant segments of the population. The Ad Council's COVID Collaborative is providing the following resources:
