(July 2021) – I hope the summer finds everyone doing well and things are going along as planned. I think we are finally ready to try to move forward with KAHRMM events and look forward to seeing everyone again.
The KAHRMM Board met on June 16 via a conference call. We tentatively set Oct. 4, 2021, as the date for the KAHRMM golf tournament and fall education program, likely to be held in Salina. This will be our first face-to-face event since CPE of 2019. Once we have more program details and have confirmed the dates, we encourage KAHRMM members to mark their calendars and plan to attend. The KAHRMM Board welcomes your input on KAHRMM events moving forward. Central Plains Expo is no longer in existence, and we would like to host another conference, vendor show and possibly offer CEUs for other staff members in our facilities. As of now, we have set Oct. 4, 2021, as the date of our event in Salina.
For those who are interested, the AHRMM21 Conference and Exhibition is moving from Boston, MA, to Nashville, TN. Attendees have the option to participate either virtually or in person. The Nashville dates are Aug. 23-25, 2021. Virtual dates will be listed as well, and a recording of the program will be available for purchase for a period of time after that.
I am working on a policy to allow vendors to publish articles in the KAHRMM Newsletter in the future. If anyone has policies or information on this sort of thing, any help is appreciated.
I hope to see everyone soon, and thank you for all you do!
