Healthworks Board Meeting - March 12

KHA established a foundation for its members in 1969 and redesigned it in 1998 as a 501(c)3 organization. Healthworks, previously the Kansas Hospital Education and Research Foundation, is funded through contributions, grants and educational fees.

Infection Prevention Conference - Mar. 13-14

This conference helps prepare healthcare professionals to be facilitators and resources for the surveillance, prevention, and control of infections. Attendees will discover proven strategies for implementing infection prevention programs. Time will be allotted during the conference for attendees to network and discuss issues with other infection prevention professionals. All participants will receive infection prevention reference materials.

AHA Regional Policy Board Meeting - Mar. 20-21

The American Hospital Association convenes this event to bring together hospital leaders from Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. AHA staff sets a full agenda to discuss current and future hospital and health care issues.

KHA Board Meeting - Mar. 25

The Kansas Hospital Association has a 21-member board of directors. They meet at least five times a year. Each board member holds three-year terms, with a two-term limit. The board has a composition of members from all geographic areas of Kansas all sizes and types of member hospitals are represented. The board also includes two hospital trustees and two physician members. Other participants include American Hospital Association delegate.

KHEA - Kansas Healthcare Engineers Association

The Kansas Healthcare Engineers' Association is organized to advance the development of effective procedures in health care facilities and to provide educational opportunities for the personal growth of its members. The Association plans and conducts at least two meetings per year: a spring and fall workshop.

Individuals active in the field of engineering and maintenance in a hospital, nursing home or other licensed healthcare facility are encouraged to participate in the Kansas Healthcare Engineers' Association through active membership. Associate membership is available for those individuals active in support services related to the field of healthcare engineering and maintenance that includes manufacturers, vendors, distributors and their respective employees.
