(March 27, 2025) – Today, the Senate saw a motion to reconsider the Senate Concurrent Resolution 5011, a constitutional amendment to section 1 article 11 of the Constitution of the state of Kansas; relates to property taxation; limits valuation increases for real property. The bill received 26 votes, failing to meet the two-thirds majority needed to pass.

CCR making their way through the process include CCR on HB 2062, CCR on HB 2075, CCR on HB 2022, CCR on S Sub for HB 2056, CCR on HB 2160, CCR on HB 2116, CCR on HB 2275 and CCR on SB 250. The Senate also took up SCR 5011 but the bill failed to meet the two-thirds majority need to pass.
